Samen met burgers uit heel Europa en een verscheidenheid van andere organisaties\, politici\, ondernemers\, influencers\, kunstenaars en vakbonden vieren we de Europese democratie en haar idealen op de Groeneplaast in Den Burg\, Texel. Het is de moeite waard om mee te komen vieren: er zijn evenementen\, discussies\, optredens\, lezingen\, zangwedstrijden\, pingpong wedstrijden en silent disco’s. The stage is yours! \nKom ook en discussiëer mee over de EU. Waar zien we de problemen? Wat willen we veranderen? Wat werkt wel al goed? Op Texel focussen we op onderwerpen zoals het het plastic afval probleem en onze verwachtingen van het nieuwe Europese Parlement. Schuif aan voor tien minuten of voor een uur. Iedereen is welkom en elke mening telt! \nEr zijn twee Dome Talks gedurende de dag.\nBegintijden:\n12:30 uur\n15:00 uur\nJe kunt natuurlijk ook later\, tijdens het gesprek\, aanschuiven. \nENGLISH\nOn the beautiful island of Texel\, the European Public Sphere will be part of the democracy festival “DEMOCRACY ALIVE” for one day. Together with citizens from all over Europe and a multitude of other organisations\, politicians\, companies\, influencers\, artists and trade unions we celebrate European democracy and ideals at the Groeneplaats in Den Burg\, Texel. Celebrating along is worth it: there are events\, discussions\, gigs\, readings\, song contests\, ping pong competitions and silent discos. Deze hippe plek is nog niet lang zo hip. Voor meerdere decennia zocht de stad Amsterdam samen met burgers een oplossing voor het enorme\, ongebruikte stuk grond in het hart van Amsterdam West. Alleen een speciaal voor dit doel opgerichte stichting maakte het onmogelijke mogelijk. Vandaag de dag zijn De Hallen een kleurrijke attractie voor fijnproevers\, maar ook verenigingen met nieuwe ideeën hebben hun plaats in het innovatieve concept. En precies hier bouwen we onze koepel: op de grens tussen bloeiende restaurant- en maatschappelijke workshops\, kunstgalerijen en kantoren. Een voorbeeld van een sociale markteconomie? \nKom ook en discussiëer mee over de EU. Waar liggen de problemen? Wat willen we veranderen? Wat werkt wel al goed? In Amsterdam praten we over burgerparticipatie en de kwaliteit en veiligheid van ons eten\, beide met het oog op de EU. Schuif aan voor tien minuten of voor een uur. This hip place hasn’t been so hip long. For several decades the city of Amsterdam tried to find a solution for the huge\, unused area in the heart of Amsterdam West together with its citizens. Only a foundation set up especially for this purpose made the impossible possible. Today\, De Hallen are a colourful attraction for connoisseurs\, but associations with new ideas also have their place in the innovative concept. This is exactly where we are building our dome: on the border between a flourishing restaurant scene and workshops\, art galleries and offices used by civil society. Tot de meer dan 150 instellingen behoren belangrijke spelers zoals het Internationaal Gerechtshof en Europol. Misschien moeten we een beetje inschikken onder de koepel… \nKom ook en discussiëer mee over de EU. Waar liggen de problemen? Wat willen we veranderen? Wat werkt wel al goed? Hier in Den Haag spreken we over zowel vrede en recht als over de Europese integratie. Schuif aan voor tien minuten of voor een uur. Of course\, the European Public Sphere will not be missing here. Together\, we discuss the future of Europe in The Hague\, the headquarters of a large number of national and international institutions.
